Picking your professional carpet cleaner in Torbay
When you’re looking for a carpet cleaner in #Torbay, #Teignbridge or the #SouthHams… What do you look for?
First of all you check for their competence, which you can check through the amount of training the operator has had and the amount of time the company has been trading for. At Restore & More SW I have been in the industry since 2006, and formed the company in 2008. I have many carpet & upholstery cleaning, carpet repair and fire & flood restoration qualifications, most of them with the IICRC (institute of inspection of cleaning and restoration certification) , Prochem and Woolsafe. Attending these training courses has helped me learn the best methods to clean and repair your soft furnishings and carpets. Without training a company may struggle to identify fabrics and carpet types which could damage your carpets and upholstery if the incorrect method was applied. Before forming the company I had the best part of two years experience under the tuition of other experienced cleaners.
As well as competency, the next quality you should look out for is the professional equipment a company has at its disposal. At R&M SW over the years I have acquired a large arsenal of cleaning equipment. It’s important to have a commercial grade extraction machine but it’s also equally important to have the right tools on the end of the pipes which come into contact with either your carpet or upholstery. In my van I carry two different types of upholstery tools, a low moisture sapphire tool and a regular upholstery tool which gives plenty of options when cleaning. For general #carpetcleaning I have a regular two jet carpet cleaning wand which is typically used in most domestic properties but have the option of a “powerbrush” wand which scrubs the carpet with a rotating soft brush to give enhanced cleaning results. I typically use this tool on large commercial jobs, but can be used on domestic jobs when the soiling us more stubborn to remove. I have two smaller carpet tools one which is used for detailed work which is typically carpet edges and stain work and a new stair wand which is the latest piece of equipment added to the van.
After these it’s best to check your chosen contractor has the correct public liability insurance and has all their paperwork in order i.e. issuing a quotation – which I would issue from my carbon copy pad when I provide my free local quotations (available in #Torquay, #Paignton, #Totnes, #Brixham, #NewtonAbbot, #Teignmouth, #Kingswear and surrounding villages) stating the price and the proposed works to be carried out. Check out the contractors reputation amongst your family and friends, in my case my testimonials are listed on my website and on my Facebook page “Restore & More carpet cleaning.”
