How often should I clean my carpet?

This is a very common question I get asked by most of my new customers. Most carpet manufacturers recommend that a carpet is cleaned every 12-18 months normally using a Hot Water Extraction system. In some cases a carpet will require more cleaning due to the level of occupancy, pets etc… Carpets are cleaned to maintain appearance (to stop the build up of traffic lane soiling), to remove abrasive soiling materials which cause damage to the pile and to create a more hygenic environment.
